Overview
The Ohio State University Extension Publications store is an ecommerce site run by the College of Food, Agriculture, and Environmental Sciences. They sell publications produced by the university that assist in certifications (i.e., pesticide licensing) as well as sell all 4-H publications, including general knowledge on 4-H topics (i.e., All About Dogs) to activity books and guide group programs. Their primary audience is the various county offices throughout Ohio that purchase these publications for government function or youth activities.
Americaneagle.com implemented the BigCommerce CMS to handle the University Extension Publications site. The site features customer groups that offer various groups different discounts, product visibility, and payment methods (some buyers are allowed to purchase items on account.) The site also features separate catalogs that restrict buyers with bulk buying privileges from purchasing items in volumes that would not be possible. The site is capable of handling back-orders and pre-orders, as well as international shipments.
