WeatherTech, a branch of MacNeil Automotive, manufactures the world’s most innovative and advanced products in automotive protection for internal and external usage. Their products set the industry standard, using sophisticated reverse engineering to assure a perfect fit to your vehicle. Externally, WeatherTech provides products that protect against stone chips, bug stains, and more. You’ve seen their ads; WeatherTech has expanded by leaps and bounds in the last decade, launching an extensive marketing program with TV commercials that have propelled them into the public eye. WeatherTech’s most famous accessories include the FloorLiner™, PetSTEP® and Techfloor™. WeatherTech also asked Americaneagle.com to design and develop a mobile app allowing it users access to news and the product catalog.

Goals

WeatherTech first approached Americaneagle.com in 1999 to build a site that would better accommodate their massive inventory. The goal was to provide customers with an easy, efficient way of searching through their extensive line of automotive accessories. By focusing on advanced navigation, WeatherTech’s redesign hoped to satisfy each of their target audiences. For their fourth generation site, WeatherTech once again sought Americaneagle.com’s expertise to expand its website to include its international customer base, Canada and Europe.

Summary

Americaneagle.com focused on advanced navigation and functionality of the site. With a navigation that caters to the vehicle-specific fitments, it is now easy and convenient for users to find the product they need. Throughout the site, realistic, high quality graphics make the site more enjoyable to visit and easy to navigate. The advanced navigation offers customers to find the right product in a unique way: with the push of an ignition button, they can find products that fit the make and model of their car, accelerating them through the buying process to a quick checkout. The new site, responsively designed, is also an impressive international tool, offering multiple languages and territories within the main site, regardless of which device you choose to use. WeatherTech can now offer automotive accessories to the world at large, aiding them in their international expansion.
