Web Accessibility & Your Association

Last month, Americaneagle.com attended the 2017 ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition, held in Toronto. Americaneagle.com has exhibited at ASAE the past several years, and like prior years, this year’s annual meeting helped association executives tackle real life issues facing associations today, such as:

  • How to improve member experience
  • How to effectively address cybersecurity
  • Board best practices
  • International expansion
  • How to effectively bring millennials into associations
However, there is one item that is of great importance and yet not so readily discussed:
  • How to make your association website accessible for all

At Americaneagle.com, our association clients often ask us about accessibility issues. As a full service digital agency that has completed countless projects across the United States, one of the questions we’re constantly asked is “Is my site ADA accessible?” Moreover, our clients are constantly enquiring about what they’re legally obligated to do and what is best practice related to ADA accessibility.

On October 26th Americaneagle.com will host a new event ‘Web Success Luncheon: Accessibility & Usability’ in Washington, DC. This event is specifically designed for any association looking to learn more about web accessibility. We will discuss ADA regulations, give an overview of what accessibility means to you and discuss the solutions available to you. This second part of this event will address usability and user experience. Both sessions are geared towards associations, non-profits and other organizations looking to understand the impact of ADA legislation and user experience.
