Houston Texans Recognized for Online Excellence

The W3 Awards is a major Web competition sanctioned and judged by the International Academy of Visual Arts and sponsored by Advertising Age. The awards competition honors creative excellence on the Web, and recognizes the creative and marketing professionals behind award winning Websites, Web Video and Online Marketing programs. Out of more than 3,000 companies worldwide that submitted entries, the panel of judges recognizes sites based on high standards of excellence. Judges include executives from organizations such as Alloy, BRANDWEEK, Coach, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Estee Lauder, HBO, iNDELIBLE, Monster.com, MTV, Yahoo!, and many others.

HoustonTexans.com was honored with a W3 Silver award following a major overhaul of design and functionality with the assistance of Americaneagle.com. Launched in 2007, the Houston Texans Website features a Flash video header on the homepage, dynamic player bio pages, revamped Texans cheerleader section, and much more. "We are proud to have contributed to the success of the Texans Website," said Michael Svanascini, Chief Operating Officer at Americaneagle.com. "The site features many of the most innovative and dynamic online technologies, and we are thrilled that the Houston Texans have been recognized for this prestigious award."
