WeatherTech Wins “Best Shopping Application” and Open the Books Wins “Best Government Application” in 2013 Mobile Web Awards

The Mobile Web Awards is an annual competition that recognizes the industry’s best mobile websites and applications. Produced by the Web Marketing Association, the Mobile Web Awards is judged by top Internet marketing, online advertising, PR, and web site design professionals.

WeatherTech earned "Best Shopping Application" for its iPad app. WeatherTech uses sophisticated reverse engineering to assure a perfect fit to your vehicle. In order to maximize their customer shopping experience on a variety of devices, WeatherTech commissioned Americaneagle.com to create an iPad app that allows customers to truly test drive the product before purchasing. The app features an interactive page where the user can clean a dirty floor mat by tapping, tilting, and shaking their device, showcasing the product’s versatility as well as adding a fun, interactive element to the app.

Open the Books is an iOS and Android app that allows citizens a transparent look at the United States government’s checkbook since 2000. With an impressive database of over 2.2 million federal and state employee salary histories, the app allows users to search salaries by location (by zip code or by using their current location) or by searching for a specific name. Open the Books also earned top honors in its category, winning "Best Government Application."
