As the Green Bay Packers are in the midst of yet another postseason appearance, we’re thrilled to call them a client and are proud to be working with one of the NFL’s most iconic franchises. The Packers came to Americaneagle.com with an opportunity to create a mobile experience that no other NFL team could provide; tailored to smart phones and tablets through a responsive design. While the previous mobile website was limited to a simple and text heavy content offering, the new mobile presence introduces a myriad of rich media that offers fans instant access to articles, photos, videos & more.
Americaneagle.com, along with a third party, collaborated with the Packers and produced a superior mobile presence that gives Packer fans a dynamic experience with all of the gameday information they’ll need, along with up to the minute stats, team news and player information. One of the more unique features of the mobile website provides for a "context aware" homepage, which presents fans with a homepage layout tailored to show relevant match-up content leading up to the next game, instant stats / scoring during the game and then a post-game layout which encapsulates the post game re-caps. The mobile website also provides an interactive "fan zone", and a section that details the rich history of the Packers. Fans can also quickly link back to the main Packers site to visit the pro shop or buy tickets (although they may be hard to come by).
Americaneagle.com was able to build the mobile website which sits independently of the primary Packers website (desktop site) but was integrated so that content flows seamlessly to mobile – ensuring duplication of content submission would not be necessary. This saves time in back end management of the sites while still giving the Packer fans a great mobile presence sure to keep them engaged and interested as the Packers continue their postseason.
